trip home part 1

As soon as we landed in Atlantic City, we were en route to Wildwood.  Our 1st stop....A&LP for some cheesesteaks & cheese fries!!!!!!  YUM!  I swear, every time we come up for a visit...our whole trip revolves around what & where we are going to eat!  Then we went to Joe & Tara's.  Kevin almost immediately left to go to the Flyers game with 3 of his buddies that he has known since middle school.  Tara & I hung with the kids for the night.  Dakota LOVED hanging with them, and the boys were so nice to him.  They even liked Darby....

They had a great time.  Tara and I had big plans of drinking the night away...but we were both in bed before midnight...LOL!  Kids sure do change things...but we wouldn't have it any other way!
The next day we got back in  the car to drive to PA.  We made it to my parents house just in time for my Mom to get home from work.  After our hello's, Kevin & I ducked out to run some errands...and we actually got to stop & have a beer & wings...BY OURSELVES!!!! it was so nice!  Friday night we went over to Jaime & Phil's house.  Dakota had a BLAST with their 2 little girls...it was so much fun!  And on our way home from their house...IT STARTED SNOWING!!!!  Dakota's 1st SNOW!  (Darby's too, but she won't remember)
He was so enamored by it, he stayed awake the whole drive home even though he was completely exhausted.

The only bad thing was that it didn't last very long...by the time we could get Dakota out there...it was melting away pretty quickly.  Miss Mary, at Dakota's Pre-School, made him promise to make something in the snow & use food coloring to color it, if it snowed while we were up there.  Well, it was melting too fast for us to build anything...and my Mom only had red food coloring, and some yellow gel frosting stuff...so we did what we could....LOL!

 Daddy did teach him how to make snowballs, and they threw them as far as they could.....

Not the most eventful snowfall....but one he will remember, and my parents were so happy that it snowed while we were up.  It actually snowed again that night...but never amounted to much. So exciting!
