Fort Lauderdale!

Dakota and I drove over to Fort Lauderdale on Sunday to see my sister and her family. My niece, Samantha, was playing in a softball tournament over there. This was the first time my other niece, Lauren, came along on the trip. And of course we wanted to see my sister, Maryann, and my brother in law, John. It was very cold for Florida...so no beach time for us. We went out to a great lunch, and then the girls treated to Dakota to some jumping on hotel beds...he absolutely LOVED hanging out with them. We really enjoyed seeing all of them, and it reminded me of how much I miss my family! Dakota had so much fun, I want him to be with all of his cousins! When we first got there, he spotted some banana nut muffins that Aunt Maryann had on the table...he pointed to them and said "cake", then proceeded to have Aunt Maryann feed him a whole muffin...saying "cake" with each piece. When we were at lunch, he kept pointing to Lauren's soda, saying "some", he loves getting fed like a little bird from the straw. (1/2 of it always ends up down his face). "some" turned into the word of the day...it seemed like he wanted "some" of whatever anyone had. It was a great day!
