Kevin and I actually had a Saturday night off together...so we decided to hit Oktoberfest! We haven't been in a couple of years...and we figured that Darby was ready for some rides. Dakota was very excited as well.

Dakota told me 3 days in advance that he wanted a cheeseburger for his food while there...and then cotton candy for dessert...so that it what he got :)
In true Dakota fashion...as soon as we got there...he looks at the ferris wheel & informs me that he wasn't going to ride on it because he is "afraid of heights". LOL! What 5 year old is afraid of heights?!?!? So Kevin and I explain that sometimes being scared is the fun part. But we didn't push the issue...he is our thinker...and if he doesn't want to do it...we weren't going to mind.
So, we go thru the rides...and he sees this one that is a bungee one...he says he wants to go on it...Kevin and I look at it...agree that there was NO WAY he would actually do it...AND it was $8! We keep putting it off, putting it off...he is obsessed with going on it. So we finally give in...what the hell, right?
Let me tell ya...HE LOVED IT!
He was great! And he was sooooo happy!

This ride seemed to unleash something within Dakota...he was a beast after this...he went on the ferris wheel...LOVED it...asked to go on again. Then he went on the tilt a whirl...LOVED that...asked to go on again! Meanwhile, our friend that was nice enough to go on those rides with him...got sick...LOL! He was roaring to go the rest of the night...no stopping him!
Darby was tame....we stuck to the slides & fun houses...
Dakota was such a good Big Brother...going on the Turtles with his little sister :)
We had a blast!
