The Smith's: Easter 2013

For the 3rd year in a row...we have started our Easter Weekend by going to Dakota's School/Church Easter Fair. Dakota has a blast running around with his friends from School, and all of the Teachers/Pastors love seeing him there.

They had a DJ doing all the corny, line dance, group dance kinda stuff...Dakota decided that he wanted to give it a try....

They had bounce houses, Egg Hunts, Cotton Candy, Popcorn, little craft stations...it was a nice afternoon...I must say though...MUCH harder with 2. Darby didn't want to be contained, and Dakota wanted to do his thing...so it was pretty stressful trying to keep them both entertained...AND supervised.

They had the Easter Bunny at the Fair, he was available for all the kids to get their picture taken with him. In past years, Dakota has never even gotten close to the Easter Bunny...he's just not into that kind of thing...but I give it a try every year...just to see if I can get him to do it. So, here is how our conversation goes....

ME: "Dakota, I would REALLY like to get a picture of you and Darby with the Easter Bunny this year"

DAKOTA: "NO"

ME: "Are, are you sure? It would make me REALLY happy!"

DAKOTA: "MOM, it's not even like he's the REAL Easter Bunny...it's just a guy dressed up in a bunny suit!

ME: (I bust out laughing)

Saturday night we moved onto dying Easter Eggs....

After our Easter Egg hunt...we decided to head to the Beach for the day....

As soon as we set up shop...Darby heads out...she plops herself next to this girl & starts playing...luckily, this girl was more than happy to have her...LOL!
