Darby is 17 months old

Darby Girl is 17 months old....time is just flying by....I really wish I could slow down time!

Things are really starting to "click" nowadays...she understands everything we are saying, she can follow directions, she can repeat just about any word....and she is growing her vocabulary every day!  She is now answering Dora...saying "Boots" "Backpack" "Map", etc.  She is starting to answer all of the shows now....reminds me of Dakota...that is how he really started talking...next thing we knew he was counting in Spanish...LOL!  We shall see if she follows suit!  She says "please", "thanks", "Kota" (Dakota), "Hi", "Bye", "all done", "shoes", "pretty", etc.  She loves to tell you "no" and "yea".  She is very opinionated!  

She puckers up & makes kissing sounds when she wants kisses, she does the make pretend snoring sound when we are playing sleep, she has quite a sense of humor.  She LOVES to pretend to talk on the phone...it's so funny.  She isn't shy at all...she will talk to anyone & everyone....and if you try to ignore her...she is persistent...she will keep waving & saying "Hi" until you answer her...and she will increasingly get louder, like she is annoyed that you are ignoring her...lol!

She loves her girly stuff too...she loves sunglasses, her headbands & bows...it's so funny!  She loves to pick out her shoes, and some days she even pics out her outfit...she will tell me "No", if I pick something that she doesn't want to wear....so then I let her pick something...lol!  And even though she is girly...she is rough & tumble too...she has no fear...she climbs...falls...climbs again!  She loves to get dirty, she loves to eat...she is all about fun!
