waiting for the Dr. to come in...
Dakota is 35lbs. and 38 3/4inches tall. Dr. said that his weight is in proportion to his height. We did need to get a shot, and Dakota was NOT happy about it. They also had to prick his finger for a blood test...but he got stickers and band-aids...so he ended up happy. The Dr. assistant loved Dakota...he was talking her ear off (of course). When we got home, I set Dakota up to watch a movie & get him some lunch...per his request, because "he was hurt"....lol! Movie started, lunch on a plate....walk back to the couch to find this....Poor guy was exhausted.
Saturday we went to the beach. It was a gorgeous day. Another family set up right next to us with a 3 year old little girl. Her name was Gracie. Her and Dakota had so much fun playing all afternoon. They took turns playing under each of our umbrellas, they played in the water, they played tag...it was super cute. And of course Dakota was talking everyone's ear off. The other family ended up having other friends come to meet them as well...and Dakota was chatting it up with all the adults...making them laugh. Saturday night I had cabin fever for some reason...so Dakota and I headed out of the house...no real plan...just needed to get out and about. After a few stops, we decided to eat at "Old McDonald's"....
Date night!
We had a really nice night together...I so love this little guy...he makes me smile :)
