Dakota and I decided to make some sort of "bucket list" or "to do list" for the summer. I didn't want to turn around, and the summer be over...and yet we did nothing.
1st thing on the list...ride a bike without training wheels....CHECK!
We embraced the beginning of Summer with 2 trips to the beach on Memorial Day weekend....
Barefoot Beach in Bonita Springs...
and Fort Myers Beach...
Dakota also started Summer Camp. He is going to a Karate Camp....it's not really a Karate Camp though...they have 1 karate class a day, and then other activities the rest of the day. They go on field trips, they play games...but they are instilling the values that crosses over from Karate...Control, Courtesy, Confidence. They talk about not being a bully as well as not being bullied. I think it's going to be great for Dakota, and so far he loves it!
And Dakota had another neighborhood Birthday party...his buddy Isaac had an amazing Ninja party...they had tons of games & food, as well as a water slide. After the party was over...Isaac's Mom let the neighborhood kids stay to play until they came to haul it away...they had a BLAST!
If this is how summer goes...we are in for a GREAT one!
